We provide simplified Chinese animations, of which the subtitles were translated from the traditional version. However, it is not always possible to translate traditional Chinese into simplified Chinese. There are 18 series with over 400 Simplified Chinese animations online.

We also provide English animations online. All the subtitles are translated into English. People who have difficulty reading Chinese can choose English subtitle animations. There are 10 series with over 150 English subtitle animations available online.

6. How long is each story?

To make the reading and learning effective, each story is about 3-5 minutes.

7. Will the stories in 5QChannel Reading Website be updated?

We will update 4-5 new stories or reading materials  on this website on a monthly basis. The number of stories as well as the functions and facilities will be expanded. For example, in 2008 we added a Simplified Chinese platform and in 2009 we added an English platform so that readers can watch three versions of animation at one time.

8. Why are some series of stories incomplete?

In order to make the Classics easier to read, we need to present those stories in several volumes. Each story is presented in high quality and with exquisite pictures and animations, which makes it more time consuming.

For example, Journey to the West, written by Wu Cheng’en, is a thick classical novel from the Chinese literature. The story is very long and complicated and was written in over 100 volumes. Therefore, we need to present the story in many animations. We appreciate your patience in waiting for our monthly update.
